DOMESTIC ANIMAL ZOO

Our “yard” is about six hectares. Here you will find more than 200 animals in fenced areas and hutches.You are welcome to walk the 1.5 km route, take your tour bus, or go by your own car.
We also offer guided tours which last about two hours.

During summer the animals are mostly outside. Winter-time you will find reindeer, wild boars, llamas, East Finland cattle and sheep outside. Of course, the weather plays a role in who wants to be outside; and which animals have the appropriate fur and fat layers to be outside during very cold periods!

Feeding the Animals

All our animals have special needs and diets. When they get food that they normally don’t eat they get ill or worse. If you want to feed them, please ask us first if you want to feed the animals. Maybe you can help at the next feeding time or maybe we can provide you with something they can eat. If you are staying overnight you could help feed the animals in the morning! Thank you!
