PIKKU-KILI - COUNTRYSIDE EXPERIENCE YARD
 |
Located on top of a high hill just one hour north of Joensuu you will find PikkuKili!
PikkuKili is situated 260 metres above sea level amongst the quiet of nature,
forests, and clean skies of North Karelia. In the local surroundings, and sometimes
in our yard, live some of Finland’s greatest predators: bears, wolves, wolverines
and lynx.
We call our place a yard because it is our front and back yards with lots
of animals. You can find more than 200 domestic and wild animals in our experience
yard. In the summer there are forty different species and sixty different breeds.
We have Alpacas, mini pigs, reindeer, donkeys, mules, wild boars, rabbits,
chickens…to name a few! All are within easy access for watching and some are
even possible to pet.
Climbing up twenty-two metres (22m) above the hill is the watchtower. A breath-taking
view opens up here – ten kilometres in every direction.
The wooden tipis provide a great place for taking a break, eating your own
snack, something from our kiosk or a by-reservation-only flame broiled salmon
dinner.
Horse-back riding, swimming, a playground and a few row boats offer more experiences.
And if that isn’t enough you can always have sauna and lodge over night in
our nice snug log houses.
Open:
